With good weather on our side and a group full of energy, those four days of hiking turned into something special. Honestly, I wouldn’t even call it just a hiking trip - it was an experience.
The canyon has a way of humbling you.
The blue-green turquoise water instantly calms your mind.
The terrain, the waterfalls - they quietly soothe your soul.
Out there, it almost feels like you’re having a conversation with nature. And somehow, you know those moments and thoughts will stay there, safe and untouched.
At one point, you feel like writing the names on the water, and then you watch it flow, dancing away downstream.
The cool breeze doesn’t just pass by - it feels like it hugs you.
Though you definitely need fitness to explore the canyons, I felt something more. If you truly connect with the place, the trail somehow carries you forward. Even with soreness or blisters, that connection guides you through. Physically, yes - it’s challenging. But that deeper connection soothes you and stays with you.
90 km (about 56 miles), 4 days, hiking in with over 35 lbs of backpack - when you think about it, it sounds intense. But while you’re there, it feels different. And in the end, it was all worth it.
Everything about that place slows you down, grounds you, and makes you feel present. Some things you can describe - the turquoise of the water, the vastness of the canyon, the stretch of the trail. But, the feeling escapes every word, waiting quietly to be lived.
In the end, this wasn’t just a hike. It was something you carry with you - a memory for a lifetime, an Experience.
