Cricket

I remember those days when I used to play cricket alone with a Rupee plastic ball and a stick in my early school days inside my home. I wonder why I never get bored of this alone cricket and it was my all time time eater when there is nothing else to do. Scoldings from my mom for breaking vases, wall clocks never distracted ... poor mom, she always believed that I won't again and getting new vases and clocks ... New targets, but breaking was never my intension.

Then there was short field cricket after college hours. Everyday after college we friends [Arun, Kantha, Naveen, Raju, Vathsa, Giriyappa, Ravi, Pramod, Madan, Tabrez ..... were there every day] never missed playing next to my home. Again scoldings from neighbors and their belief of we stopping cricket never worked out.

Later came corporate cricket. Most of my colleagues took the game just as a mean of relaxing from their hectic schedules.

All these time cricket was just for fun until I came here to US. Thanks to my friend BHARATH who introduced me to cricket with more of formal presentation, analyzing good and bad, learning and improving techniques, fitness. I have learnt some of the techniques, shots, patience in playing this cricket.

Whatever is the form of the cricket ... formal, indoor, gully, short field; I love this game :)
