Ocean Park

Finally it was on 23rd Dec 2005, SumTotal's Development team was heading for team outing - Ocean Park. Although at the start the sun was dumb, later he started smiling. I don't think we have so fair and charming faces that made him happy.... :-)
It was around 12 noon when everyone read the RED board "Ocean Park". The fist person I met was a poor lady who, I think, was waiting for some one to arrive. She pleaded almost all I saw but none of them turned including me. One penny per head had made her day; anyway whatever it is, life has to move on, on & on .........

For some peoples, infact most of us, it was a group outing rather than a team outing. Sometime I think what's the meaning of Team outing, I remember someone amongst us saying we can understand/talk to people to know them better and I saw the same guy only with the people who he knows; how come that be possible. Finally came to conclusion that Team outing is something where different group of people agree to go to a place together .... the most important group I saw was - "Three Roses"; that's the name I prefer for them.

Some people really want to enjoy every bit of it, no matter with whom they are. "It's only 2:45 da, still 45 min left for the water waves .. I am feeling boaring here, come we will go for other water sports ,at 3:30 we can return here" ... Ooppss not sparing even a single minute. He wants to enjoy .. that is all I know.

For few of us everthing we do, it was more than just enjoyment. I can see people involving and determined in whatever they do. As a support for this an instance goes like ......... "Balloon shooting -- I could see him adjusting the aim on his chest ... nops this is not the proper aim .... he adjusted on bottom part of his neck ... not again .... finally he adjusted on his shoulder, aiming the balloon .... BANG*** ... he did it". I asked him what is the motivation behind you for your success, always result oriented, always active .... The answer was "I don't know" ... but I feel that eveything he do he does from bottom of his heart, successful or not he gives it a try .... and before I forget, the aimer was 'KIRAN'. Even I am trying to be like that since long but not yet successful enough.. one day or the other I will ... :-)

Finally it was a great team outing ... got to know better how different, people are ... in terms of there thinking, likes & dislikes.....

At the end of the day thought to have hightlights of the day .... the first thing/person that came in front of me was the poor lady pleading for money ..... that moment I felt like hugging the best part of the world ...... why can't the creator make everyone's life at the same line .... anyway whatever it is, life has to move on, on & on .........
