What a way to end the day

Squeezed every second of work with no breaks, no talks etc .. all just to meet her. Had even told this to her that I will be leaving from work early today. On the way back home had bought her favorite chocolate, was at home sharply around 6:15 in the evening. Messaged her to check if she is at home; but then got the reply that she is at her friends place. Thought she might stay there for another 30 min and to save the time for travel I decided to drive half way so that I can reach her home faster when she is out of her friend's place. Waited till 8:15 in the night at BDA complex and finally there is the message "I am leaving now" followed by "He's there" when asked for whether her father will be at home or not. With her father around she is never a easy going, hard to even talk aloud and given the fact that her father, rather any parent, wont be easy going with someone visiting his daughter late in the night, I replied "Naa manege hogteeni, appa idre nee sariyaagi matadalla" and thought we can meet some other day. 1:30 hrs of waiting for the message ended up nowhere. Came home, received call from her; she asked where was I?. Now this was a million dollar question even after sending the message that I will be leaving to my home. When repeated again, the next moment was to hear the disconnected beep sound. Now that was needed for 2+ hours of waiting to see her. It sounded as though she was thinking I never wanted to meet her. Wish, I was wrong but then the next message from her, which came just when I was on call with my US colleagues, said that "U you should have at-least picked my call, I wouldn't have minded if you would not have speak". Now who the hell on this earth can ask, unless critical, the US clients to be on hold, especially when you are with a service based company, and talk on the other line?

All seem to be finally ended up with a note that I never wanted to see her, never cared for her, never understood her. She sounded as though what ever I did at work, waiting; had no meaning at the end of the day.
